King of Vintage EXOTICS
Today’s livestream features the collection of Johnson Lee - the “King of Exotic Watches”. Heavily focused on Rolex, Piaget, and Cartier. Johnson appears to focus on finding watches with the rarest combinations. It’s not good enough to have a rare factory gem-set Rolex - it must be in mint condition - AND come with original box/papers/receipt. The odds of finding a 1970’s/80’s watch with this trifecta is almost impossible - but Johnson manages to do this regularly.

Below is a rare honeycomb diamond pave dial, sold in Taiwan circa 1995. Offered as a full set, with all original papers for $65,000. The case and bracelet has developed an interesting patina from sitting in a vault most of it’s life. Take a close look at the intricate multi-layered “honeycomb” on this dial.
